Local champs the Blue Ribbons are a pop band in the same way that the Beatles or Steely Dan or Television are pop bands in that they like pop but “aren’t too precious about the songs,”

PlusOrMinus are a Boston-based trio writing and playing music built for the space between sound and image. Everything is live-played and overdubbed, never programmed.

Two Souls, one suitcase kick, three amplifiers, and enough voltage to raise the dead.
Muddy Ruckus is a wild-hearted, feral psyche rock duo known for transforming minimalist instrumentation into a full-throttle sonic eruption. Fronted by guitarist/songwriter Ryan Flaherty and drummer/vocalist Erika Stahl, the band delivers a sound far bigger than two people should be able to conjure.

Le Prestige is an instrumental and improvisational music group based in Somerville and Cambridge, Massachusetts. Their original songs are primarily influenced by the spirit of 60’s soul jazz and the big beats and loops of 90’s hip-hop and electronica. Taking an organic and low-tech approach to these sounds, the tunes feature horn-driven melodies and expressive soloing over funk, jazz, reggae and disco grooves.

Tonight at the Lizard Lounge! JJ Slater, Savoir Faire and Safe Journey! Tickets are $15 on Eventbrite or $20 at the door starting at 7! Savoir Faire kicks off at 8! See you there!...🦎

Usually when folks describe JJ Slater’s music, words relate back to nature, the outdoors, the warm sun and the cool breeze. His UMASS Amherst psych-rock band Humble Digs was a mainstay at Stockbridge School of Agriculture events, and ten years later tours are often routed with ulterior, National Park-related motives.

With a voice straight out of the jazz age, Savoir Faire brings the modern existential crisis into a realm of retro-noir. Born to an American mother and an Iranian father, Savoir Faire was absorbing the influences of everything from classic 60s rock to Persian pop at an early age. It was during her pre-teen years that she was inspired by the 90s wave of female songwriters to pick up the guitar

Safe Journey is an indie project led by photographer-turned-songwriter Steph Larsen, who began writing after unexpectedly losing her mother in 2022 just after her 30th birthday. With no formal musical training, Steph turned her grief into songs. She reunited with guitarist Liz Glenn, drummer Emily Payson and bassist Michaela Knight, old friends from the South Shore of MA, transforming what started as a solo exploration into a kismet she/they band.

The A-Beez are a powerhouse collective born from Boston’s thriving soul and funk scene, led by keyboardist Amy Bellamy and bassist Aaron Bellamy. Known for their fearless blend of soul, funk, R&B, hip-hop, and jazz, The A-Beez deliver music that grooves hard, feels deep, and never stops evolving.
Longtime creative and life partners, Amy and Aaron began building their sound in the early 2000s as part of the Sam Kininger Band. Since then, they’ve toured internationally, shared stages and studio credits with a long list of musical heavyweights—including Chaka Khan, Terri Lyne Carrington, G. Love, Res, Club d’Elf, and members of Earth, Wind & Fire, The Nth Power, and Snarky Puppy.
Over the past decade, The A-Beez have become a cornerstone of Boston’s music community, with a long-running residency at the legendary Wally’s Jazz Café and regular appearances up and down the East Coast. dayes, Brendan Cleary and Russel Jamie Johnson tonight at the Lizard Lounge! Grab your tickets now, just a few tickets remain on Eventbrite for $15, but we'll have some tickets at the door starting at 7 o'clock for $20. Russel Jamie Johnson kicks off at 8! See you there!...🦎

dayes is an independent alternative folk band based in Boston, MA, led by songwriter and vocalist Patrick Morelli. Morelli blends his love for the free-spirited energy of modern jam bands like Dispatch and Mt. Joy, along with the intimate storytelling of folk artists such as Caamp and The Lumineers. Morelli is joined by his wife, Camille Morelli, on bass, and longtime friend Pete Duffy on lead guitar. When not working on music, Patrick and Camille are high school teachers at a small, private school in Boston.

In 2019, Brendan Cleary hit the bottom — and his life restarted. After years of struggling with addiction while fighting to maintain a career as a live musician in Nashville, the world finally came crashing down around him. It was the beginning of the road back to finding his voice again.
Playing hotel bars and restaurants, Brendan slowly felt his way back to the songwriter he had always been in his heart of hearts, using his struggles to connect with an understanding audience.

Russell Jamie Johnson is a New York City–based singer-songwriter and actor crafting cinematic indie-folk songs that feel both timeless and intensely personal. Blending the emotional honesty of folk storytelling with sweeping Americana textures and alternative influences, Johnson’s music lives in the aftermath of love, memory, and longing. His voice moves effortlessly between intimate vulnerability and raw intensity, carried by fingerpicked guitars, atmospheric arrangements, and lyrics that read like scenes from a film.
