Well this just SUCKS!!! On Sunday morning Dan Harrington succumbed to cancer. Dan was part of the EVOO team every step of the way. Before we served our first customers, Dan was there cleaning and organizing; in the early years he worked as a bartender and a waiter, ultimately he was the beverage director for both EVOO and Za.
Many of you know that Dan was way more than just a co-worker to Colleen and I, he was Colleen's brother, my brother-in-law. Our lives were extremely interwoven, not only did we work together, along with Colleen and Dan's wife Karen (Nellie) he was my travel companion with multiple trips to Spain, Portugal, England and Ireland. He was co-owner of our vacation spot in Moultonborough, NH. He dragged me to concerts and music festivals; most of which were good, some great. I dragged him sailing, if you ask me, that was always great. We celebrated all the family holidays together, he was my drinking buddy at many of those celebrations. Sunday dinners at each others homes was the norm.
This hurts so much... My life was enhanced in so many ways with Dan as my friend, I will be forever grateful to have known him, I'm gonna miss you brother.
