Some people become part of a place. JP was part of Callicoon Hills.
We are heartbroken by the sudden passing of Jean Paul “JP” Medina.
JP was a huge part of the history of Callicoon Hills, but his impact reaches far beyond these grounds. Throughout his journey, he touched so many lives with his talent, his passion for hospitality, his generosity, and the way he brought people together.
For those of us who had the privilege of knowing him, working alongside him, sharing a meal with him, or simply being welcomed into his world, JP left an impression that will not be forgotten.
Callicoon Hills holds countless memories of JP within its walls, around its tables, and across this property. We are incredibly grateful that this place can now help hold space for the people who loved him.
On September 8, we will open our doors to JP’s family, friends, colleagues, and community as we gather to celebrate his life and the extraordinary mark he left on so many.
Our hearts are with Sarah, JP’s family, and everyone mourning this tremendous loss.
JP will forever be part of the story of Callicoon Hills. And we will be forever grateful that our story was part of his.
