Real friendship isn’t about constantly entertaining each other. Sometimes it’s sitting in the same house, comfortable in the silence.

Today my good friend Brent is passed out on the couch holding his 2-month-old baby. I’m watching Gladiator. Our girls are outside playing with the chickens. Our wives are spending the afternoon at the wineries enjoying themselves.

Nobody is trying to impress anyone. Nobody is trying to fill every moment with conversation. Just peace, trust, and knowing you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be.

I’ve always wanted my home to be a place of safety, security, and rest for the people I care about. A place where friends can let their guard down, take a nap on the couch, and know they’re welcome.

From the first boards going up to what it’s become today… this place has turned into something special.

What started as a vision is now a place filled with weddings, family, laughter, incredible food, late nights, hard work, and memories we’ll never forget. Seeing the old build photos next to where Wood Farms Venue is now is a reminder that the best things in life take time, faith, and a whole lot of effort.

So grateful for everyone who’s celebrated with us here, trusted us with their big moments, and supported the dream along the way. And getting to build it beside Hailey makes it mean even more.
