I don’t even know how to find the words for this. Yesterday, we lost Brian far too suddenly and far too soon. 💔

Brian wasn’t just my stepdad. He was my mom’s husband, a dad, a grandfather, a friend, and someone who was loved and respected by so many people in our community. He had a tough exterior and a heart of gold, and the people he loved—especially my mom and his grandchildren—could always bring out that rare smile.

Because this was so sudden, my mom was left with expenses she never had the chance to prepare for. She would never ask for help herself, and she’s worried that doing this is somehow “tacky.” But I know our community, and I know how many people loved Brian. I know how many people love my mom. If the roles were reversed, I know Brian would be the first person to show up for someone else.

So I’m asking for her.

If you’re able to donate, no matter how much, it will help take one small burden off my mom’s shoulders while she navigates the unimaginable loss of her husband. If you can’t donate, sharing this post, saying a prayer, or simply keeping my mom and our family in your thoughts means more than you know.

Brian wasn’t ready. It wasn’t his time. And none of us were ready to say goodbye. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who has reached out, checked on us, shared a memory, or simply given us space to grieve. We feel so incredibly loved.

Help us honor Brian and take care of my mom the way we know he would want her taken care of.

This terrible tragedy hit the twisted ladies family yesterday. We are closed this week. Next week we will open Tuesday September 8 and Wednesday September 9 1:00 to 8:00 to sell off our stock of ice cream and then close for the season. Quarts will be $7.00 all flavors. I need to be able to grieve and process the loss of my husband Brian and need one less thing to worry about during that time. We will still be doing ice cream advent calendars in November but for right now I need to just process this all. I truly hope the 2 twisted ladies community understands and continues to support us next year. Hard to be happy in the happiest place in town when you are so utterly sad.

Fall hours start September 8. Tuesday - Thursday 2-8 Friday to Sunday 12-8. Closed Mondays still.

This weeks oversized sundaes are create your own. Choose one ice cream flavor, one wet topping and one dry topping (additional toppings are $1 more) top with whipped cream. I can't wait to see what yall come up with. Who's creation will be on next weeks special board? Will it be yours?

Ice cream for breakfast will be held again on September 5 from 9-12. Watch for any updates to this event. What a great way to end the summer.

Some of the things on the menu for that day will be:

Pumpkin spiced coffee shake: coffee ice cream blended with pumpkin spice syrup.

Pumpkin waffle: pumpkin spice mini waffle, topped with pumpkin and vanilla ice cream, hot caramel and whipped cream.

Cinnamon roll pancake: buttermilk pancake with a cinnamon swirl, topped with vanilla soft and cinnamon flavored sweetened condensed milk.

Caramel Mach E Taco: maple waffle taco shell, coffee ice cream, caramel drizzle, heath bar. Yum!!!
