Beginning on Labor Day, our fall schedule until we close will be Monday thru Friday opening 5pm until business declines. So many restaurants are closed on Mondays we decided to change it up since Saturdays were our slowest day in the fall last year. (And then we can go to our daughters Marching Band competitions 🎵)

I have been putting this off for about a week now, because I know how many of you will feel reading this. It is very hard for me to write. This is our last season, and our closing date will be October 30th. It has been a wild ride since New Year's Eve in 1997, when we opened in Hatteras Village. But it is 29 years later, and it is time for us to do something different. This is by no means retirement, restaurant work is just physically punishing. I myself have been doing it since 1988.

The restaurant is still up for sale. We would love for someone to keep the Sandbar traditions alive, of course. Or to create something new and exciting. So many options, opportunities, and new beginnings. Thank you all for being with us all of these years, staff and customers, we love you!!
