TEMPORARY CLOSURE — BREW HAVEN 🤎☕️
After a great deal of consideration and many conversations as a team, we have made the incredibly difficult decision to close Brew Haven for the remainder of this week. With Labor Day being Monday and a day we would normally be closed anyway, we will reopen our doors Tuesday, September 8.
I never imagined that something happening on social media could reach a point where I would feel it necessary to temporarily close the doors of a business I have poured so much of myself into. Unfortunately, the continued harassment and public attacks have now affected more than just me. They have affected my business, my employees, our sense of safety, and the overall well-being of everyone here.
And quite frankly, this has mentally taken a toll on all of us at Brew Haven.
After seeing the most recent social media video just this morning I take the safety of my employees and myself seriously and some of the threats received has caused concern for that very safety.
We aren’t just coworkers here we are a family. My two employees have stood beside me 100% through all of this, and I will stand beside them just as strongly. Right now, we need a few days to step away from the noise, regroup mentally and emotionally as a team, and take care of one another.
My hope is that during this time, the individual will be formally served, the social media posts and harassment will stop and everyone involved will understand just how seriously this matter is being taken. Legal action has been initiated, and from this point forward, we are going to allow that process to do what it is intended to do.
We will not be bullied, intimidated, publicly humiliated, or pressured into pretending this isn’t serious. But we also refuse to allow someone else’s actions to permanently take away something we have worked so hard to build.
We are not giving up on Brew Haven. We are simply taking a few days to protect our peace, protect one another, and come back stronger.
To everyone who has reached out, supported us, prayed for us, defended us, or simply reminded us to keep our heads up—thank you. Please continue to consider the source and allow the truth to speak for itself.
We are a family at Brew Haven. We will stand by one another. We will get through this together. And we believe that ultimately, the truth and justice will surface.
So for the remainder of this week, we’re going to step away, breathe, regroup and take care of our little Brew Haven family.
Then on Tuesday, September 8, we will put our aprons back on, turn the espresso machines back on, open those doors and welcome our customers back. ☕️🤎
And when we do, we’ll come back together stronger than we were before.
