Gather Fam! We have the best crew in the business. And we will not tolerate people treating them with disrespect. Tipping is always optional. But writing annoying, childish comments, crumbling up the receipt and throwing the pen outside is not something we will put up with. The people that did this yesterday have been asked to not return to Gather. We kindly ask our customers to be respectful and kind. That is all.

Gather Fam! We have been approached by many political candidates about using our shops as a place for them to meet their constituents.

When we opened Gather Coffee Company, one of our goals was to provide a space for the exercising of democracy, a principle our republic is based upon.

So we welcome any political candidate regardless of party or affiliation to respectfully use our space for this reason.

This also means that Gather will not nor does not endorse any political candidate or party. Unless of course, someone starts the party of coffee and cookies.

Then we can talk.

FUNDRAISER update! We closed the Gofundme yesterday and traveled San Juan del Sur testing literally every ATM. We were successful (thanks to our friends at First National Bank) for getting everything ready. We will be meeting Sr. Lopez later this afternoon to give him the proceeds!

You all are so amazing! We have now raised over $2000 USD for the López family here in Nicaragua. We decided to keep the fundraiser going over the weekend and I have already reached out to Sr. López about meeting up next week.

Gather Fam! We are calling on yall hard right now. Tonight we witnessed a boat here in Nicaragua that broke up as a crew tried desperately to save her. She washed ashore in the tropical storm last week. We literally watched the owner, Mr. Lopez, climb off his boat one last time as it broke apart. It broke everyone's hearts.

If you're able we'd love to have your support. 100% of all proceeds will go direct to the Lopez family.

¡Familia, reunámonos! Los necesitamos más que nunca en este momento. Esta noche fuimos testigos de cómo una embarcación aquí en Nicaragua se destrozaba mientras la tripulación intentaba desesperadamente salvarla. El barco había encallado la semana pasada durante la tormenta tropical. Literalmente vimos al dueño, el Sr. López, bajar de su barco por última vez mientras este se desintegraba. Fue algo desgarrador para todos.
