My grandkids showed a Lavender (Self Blue) Colombian Marans Cockerel in the Fancy Feathers show that placed in the Backyard class. He looked really good! I’ll be making some more of him for sure. He was an oops chicks! A lavender c**k jumped over into the Colombian pen. Them fence jumpers! Ugh! 😣 but it’s a good looking bird!

I’m starting to set BCM eggs so I’m about 3 weeks I’ll have some baby chicks to offer. This year I’m working on Crele, Colombian, Lavender Colombian, BCM, Cuckoo, Wheaten, Black, and Silver Wheaten.

Bill Grover’s creation - Columbian Marans. Monnie Bond hatched these for he and I to split. Nice egg color. Working on cushion, fluff, tail set, egg color, wing balance, etc. They’re big birds. Good size and non-broody (thank God!)
