City Market is Burlington’s only downtown grocery store, open to everyone 363 days per year from 7 a.m. City Market provides a critical service to the residents of Burlington and the larger community by providing a wide variety of local, organic and conventional products at a fair price to all. We also offer a hot and cold food bar, grab and go meals, coffee and tea, a made-to-order sandwich bar, and a deli. The Co-op is also extremely dedicated to supporting the local economy and enhancing the sustainability of agriculture. We work with over 1,000 Vermont vendors to feature the widest selection of local products in the state. 73% of the vendors we do business with are located in Vermont and over 60 cents of every dollar in sales stays here in Vermont. We are member-owned, so the profits generated by Co-op members are returned to our members through our Patronage Refund program. Patronage Refunds that are not cashed by Members are donated to a different community non-profit each year. In addition to offering our community a variety of food products, we also offer monthly food and herbal classes at a low cost to Members and non-members, including Kids' Cooking Classes and My Child and Me Cooking Classes. A little change makes a big difference! 🌟 When you round up to the nearest dollar at checkout, your collective donations will be shared with local non-profits making a difference right here in our community. 💚 Meet our October partners below and learn more in the profile.

🤸 50% partner - Kidpower Vermont coaches adults, teens, and children so that they have skills to prevent and stop sexual abuse, bullying, and other forms of harm. Through workshops, participants learn and practice simple, effective techniques for setting boundaries, keeping themselves safe, and building positive relationships.

🥕 40% partner – The University of Vermont Health’s Food Security Action Team at the UVM Golisano Children’s Hospital addresses food security as a part of healthcare, connecting families with nutritious food and vital resources and helping remove barriers to healthy development.

🌿 10% partner - Age Well is a nonprofit organization that serves Addison, Chittenden, Franklin, and Grand Isle Counties. Since 1974 Age Well has provided older Vermonters the necessary support to manage their daily living needs to keep them active, healthy, independent, and at home.
