🏡 Farmstand Update! 🏡

Today we got the second coat of paint on the walls, and we are absolutely loving how the white with subtle gray and blue undertones is coming together!

We also got the new flooring installed. I may not be the handiest person around, but there are a few projects I can tackle, and this was one of them! 😊

We also picked up our new trim, and it’s currently being painted. Once that’s finished, we’ll be able to get it installed and really start tying everything together.

In other exciting news, some of our patriotic merchandise is scheduled to arrive this week! We’re looking forward to getting everything tagged, displayed, and ready for sale when the farmstand officially opens.

Things are starting to come together, and we can’t wait to share more progress with all of you. Every project completed gets us one step closer to opening day!

🌿 Farmstand Update 🌿

Today was a fun one!

🪪We finally started pulling out some of the pieces that tell the story of how we got here. We framed our health license and food service licenses, along with some special memories and accomplishments from over the years.🪪

🏆🎭Among them are items recognizing the several hundred Pinkalicious-inspired cupcakes we donated for the 2019 Festival 56 production of Pinkalicious, as well as memorabilia from being voted Best of the Illinois Valley for Custom Cakes in 2025—including the plaque itself!🎭🏆

While these won’t be their permanent homes in the farmstand, seeing everything displayed together makes you stop and reflect on where it all started and the incredible experiences, opportunities, and support we’ve had throughout the years.

As we continue bringing this space to life, we’re excited to incorporate pieces of our journey into the farmstand and share that story with all of you.

Farm Stand Update! 🌿🤍

We’ve been tossing around some ideas and are thinking about going with a lighter white paint color that has subtle blue and gray undertones instead of the light gray we originally picked. We think it might brighten up the space while still giving us that soft, cozy farmhouse feel we’re after.

What do you all think? Would you choose a crisp white with blue-gray undertones or stick with the light gray? We’d love to hear your thoughts! 👇

We’re also incredibly excited because we’ll soon be receiving a very special piece of family history. My cousin purchased a dresser that belonged to my father when he was little from my late grandmother’s estate sale, and she is now passing it on to me.
The moment I saw it, I knew exactly where it belonged.
It’s going to have a special place in the farm stand, displayed against that beautiful wild floral wallpaper. 🌿🌼

Of course, now I’m rethinking my setup just a little bit, but some things are worth rearranging for. This vintage family piece will add so much character, history, and meaning to the storefront. It’s the perfect reminder that the farm stand isn’t just about selling products—it’s about family, memories, and preserving pieces of our story.

I can’t wait to share it with all of you once it’s in place! ❤️

🌿 Farm Stand Update! 🌿

Things are starting to come together!

The accent wall has officially been painted a beautiful farm green, and we’ve started putting up the green wild floral wallpaper. Let me tell you… after just two strips tonight, I was very thankful that I had to order more because that was more than enough wallpapering to test my patience! 😂

Before anyone points it out, don’t mind the green paint on the bottom trim. That trim will be replaced to match the trim around the door, so everything will tie together nicely in the end.

We also ordered our candle shelves tonight, and we’re so excited to see that part of the farm stand come to life! 🕯️✨

Now we’re anxiously waiting to finish the painting so we can really start pulling everything together. Every little step makes it feel a little more real, and we can’t wait to share the finished space with all of you!

🌿✨ The Farm Stand Journey Begins! ✨🌿

Well, everyone… here we go!

After months of planning, dreaming, and preparing, we’re officially starting with a clean slate as we begin transforming this space into our farm stand. What you see now may be empty, but we have a vision for a welcoming space filled with fresh baked goods, handcrafted candles, merchandise, seasonal décor, and so much more.

We’re excited to share each step of the process with you as this dream comes to life. From flooring and paint to displays and finishing touches, we’ll be bringing you along for the journey.

💙🧁 Big Things Are Happening! 🧁💙

Remember last fall when we shared that we had received approval for our farm stand/porch stand? Well, it’s finally time to start bringing that vision to life!

Things are about to take shape quickly, and we couldn’t be more excited! We’ve already selected our flooring, paint colors, and wallpaper. The space will feature:

✨ Grey flooring
✨ White trim
✨ A light green accent wall
✨ Soft light grey walls throughout
✨ Beautiful wallpaper accents (sample shown below!)

We’re also building a custom potter’s bench from reclaimed barn wood that was saved from my grandma’s horse shed. This special piece will be used to display our fresh breads, cookies, and sweet treats.

You’ll also find:

🕯️ Shelving for our handcrafted candles
👕 A section dedicated to our t-shirts
🔑 Ornaments, keychains, and other logo merchandise
🎁 Seasonal and decorative merchandise throughout the year

Our current plan is to open Friday through Sunday, and the farm stand will operate as a self-serve, honor-system shop. We’ll share more details on how everything will work as we get closer to opening day.

💡 We’d love your input! As we continue planning and building out the space, we’d love to hear your ideas. What would you like to see offered in the farm stand? Are there products, displays, or special touches you’d love to have available? Drop your suggestions in the comments—we’re always looking for ways to make this space even more special for our customers!
