About us: Michael & Carrie Walton are a family who loves cooking good Southern BBQ & other select meals. Give us a try!

Michael was inspired to name the business after his Father’s first BBQ restaurant, Rib Rack, which was located on County Line Road in Ridgeland, MS. His father was known for quality Memphis Style BBQ. Michael loved hearing his father’s friends & former customers talk about how much they loved him and the great BBQ he made. Cooking with family provides many traditions & memories. Our family has a true love for serving people & believe in the ol’ saying that “the way to a person’s heart is through their stomach!”

About 75 lbs of pork butts on the limousine.

Wouldn’t be good Pork with out “The BBQ Rub”. Malcolm is the Man! The MS boy’s rub matches up well with the Ole Miss Baseball game.

Next stop: prep 40 lbs of chicken!

Also, it’s a family tradition to make Heavy D’s Red Beans and Rice. Got a big pot cooking. 4 lbs of sausage, 9 cans of Dark Red Kidney Beans & all the secret ingredients that make it the best red beans and rice you’ll ever have!

Forgot to get a photo of the sear, but a nice beef tenderloin tonight.

Seared 2 beef tenderloins on the Blackstone. Next was the smoker - set at 450 degrees for about 40 minutes.

Let it rest for 20 minutes & enjoy!
