The Saturn Club recently welcomed Megan McElfresh of the Stained Glass Association of America and the Rev. Matt Lincoln of Trinity Episcopal Church for a special Saturn Speaks program on Buffalo’s stained glass heritage.

Members learned about the remarkable windows at Trinity Episcopal, one of only two places in the world where original works by John La Farge and Louis Comfort Tiffany can be seen side by side.

We are grateful to our speakers for sharing their knowledge, and to our members for making Saturn Speaks a valued part of life at the Club.

We had a great Saturn Speaks program recently with the team behind the Buffalo Central Terminal.

Monica Pellegrino Faix and Barbara A. Campagna walked us through the incredible amount of planning, preservation work, and community effort going into the Terminal’s restoration and future reuse. Their passion for the project really came through.

A big thank-you as well to Gustavo Lima for introducing the evening and providing some great context from his role on the CTRC Board.

On This Date: October 21, 1922

One hundred and three years ago today, Saturn members carried a flame from the hearth of the old clubhouse to light the first fire in our new home at 977 Delaware Avenue.

Designed by fellow member and architect Duane Lyman, the Tudor Revival clubhouse quickly became a Buffalo landmark and a lasting symbol of fellowship, warmth, and community.

During our 100-year celebration, members once again carried that symbolic flame to honor a tradition that continues to shine brightly at Saturn today.

Here’s to 103 years in our beloved clubhouse and to the generations who have kept its fire burning. 🔥

For one magical evening, the Main Lounge was transformed into the Great Hall of Hogwarts. Candles danced, tables were decorated in house colors, and members of all ages stepped into a world of magic. From Butterbeer to spellbinding sweets, the Club felt alive with wonder and imagination.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make Harry Potter Halloween at The Saturn Club such a magical success. Which Hogwarts house would you have belonged to? ⚡🦉🎃

that the Saturn Club was raided by the local Federal Dry Squad during prohibition?

Last year, we celebrated the 100-year anniversary of the raid by throwing a roaring party! We hired an actor to play Bill Donovan to reenact the raid, collaborated with Blind Tiger Cocktails for our signature drinks, and raised money for the Saturn Club Historic Preservation Foundation!
