Meet Genga Ponnampalam, the founder of and one of Buffalo's most inspiring food stories.

Genga left Sri Lanka in 1990 for a career in computer programming, but always knew he would eventually follow his father's footsteps as a farmer and business owner. That moment came in 2001 when a layoff became the push he needed. Rather than compete for scarce opportunities, he combined his business skills with his passion for healthy, wholesome food and took a risk. Buffalo has never been the same since.

For over 20 years, Go Veggies has been serving Western New York with 100% plant-based burgers, curries, wraps, soups, and sides — all made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and rooted in the rich flavors of Sri Lankan cuisine.
