THANK YOU!

We appreciate everyone who paid a visit over the weekend to join us for our Summer Season Kickoff, especially with the less-than-perfect weather.

This year’s event looked a little different than our traditional "Strawberry Jamboree." Mother Nature threw us a curveball with the failed strawberry crop on site, meaning that even though we still have pre-pick strawberries from up just up the road, our U-pick strawberries weren't on the table.

Running a local business, particularly a farming-related one, means riding the waves of unpredictable weather and unexpected crop seasons. But here at Pickwick we sure know how to make a pivot! 😅 Without U-pick, we leaned into creating extra family activities for this event, and see you here enjoying it meant so much to us. We are incredibly grateful for the smiling faces, the community spirit, and the dedicated folks who came out to support us despite the uphill climb this strawberry season. Your support keeps us doing what we love!

Now what?
Well, Summer Season here at Pickwick is officially kicked off! We expect to have our Pickwick-grown strawberries over the next two weeks or so. Then, in the first part of July, we expect to roll into U-pick flower season, in partnership with The Ohio Flower Girls. And, later in July, we expect to load up the market with our local sweetcorn and other area produce.

There is so much goodness on the horizon, and we can’t wait to share it with you. Next time you're out and about, swing on by–we'd love to see you this summer! 😊

Our Summer Season Kickoff event continues tomorrow (Sunday), with a much better weather forecast!

🚨TODAY'S TRACTOR PULL HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL TOMORROW AT 2PM DUE TO THE WEATHER🚨

Registration opens at 12pm for all age groups, with prizes awarded to the winner in each category. Age groups include: 11+, 9-10, 7-8, 5-6, 3-4. Registration is $5/person.
