To our wonderful customers, friends, and team,
It’s with mixed emotions that we share some big news: after nearly 17 incredible years, the time has come for our family to hand over the keys to the next chapter of Mountain Perks. Our final day behind the counter will be Monday, September 7th.
When we took over Mountain Perks 17 years ago, we hoped to build a steady business, but we never could have anticipated how much this place—and all of you—would mean to us. You didn’t just support a local shop; you welcomed our family into your daily routines, your mornings, and your lives. Together, we built something truly special, filled with great conversations, plenty of laughter, and countless cups of coffee.
To our customers and friends: Thank you for your loyalty, your smiles, and every single memory made across these tables. You’ve been the heart of Mountain Perks, and your support over the years means more to us than we can put into words.
To our amazing staff: You have been the true backbone of this journey. Thank you for your hard work, your energy, and for making every day behind the counter so much fun. We didn't just build a team—we built an extended family, and we’re so grateful for each of you.
To our family: Mountain Perks has truly been a family effort from day one. Our daughters, Mekenzie and Kaitlyn, started working behind the counter when we first bought the shop, and over the years, spending holidays working together became our favorite family tradition. Having them by our side through it all made these 17 years so much sweeter. And as our family grew, we were lucky enough to recruit three very dedicated "quality control" officers—our grandsons AJ, Roman, and Ren—who took their job of taste-testing the food very seriously!
While this is the end of our chapter here, it isn’t the end of the story for Mountain Perks. A new ownership team is stepping in, full of excitement, fresh ideas, and a deep respect for what this shop means to our community.
We hope you’ll give them the same warm welcome, patience, and support you extended to our family when we first started out 17 years ago. Transitions take a little time, but we know they are going to do great things.
Thank you for 17 unforgettable years. We will carry these memories with us always.
