To our Hooks family 💙

We wanted to take a moment to address something important.

As business owners, we take age verification seriously. If an ID cannot be verified, we cannot serve alcohol. Our liquor license, our employees, and our business depend on following the law.

We know the lake is a place to relax, have fun, and make memories. That’s exactly what we want Hooks to be. But we also have a responsibility to protect the business we’ve poured our hearts, time, and life savings into building.

To avoid any confusion, these are our policies:

• Every guest purchasing or consuming alcohol must present a valid, verifiable government-issued ID upon request.
• If an ID cannot be verified, we cannot serve alcohol or allow entry into age-restricted areas.
• No one under the age of 21 may consume alcohol on our premises.
• No minors are permitted inside Hooks after 10:00 PM under any circumstances, even if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
• Adults may not purchase or provide alcohol to anyone under 21 while on our property.

We have a zero tolerance policy for underage drinking. These policies are not negotiable, and they exist to protect our customers, our staff, our liquor license, and the future of Hooks.

We understand that these decisions may disappoint some guests, and we know not everyone will agree with them. When we ask someone to leave or refuse service because we cannot verify an ID, we’re often viewed as the bad guys. The truth is, we’re simply doing our job and following the law. We respectfully ask that our staff be treated with kindness and respect, even when the answer isn’t the one you were hoping for.

Our goal has never been to be a “buzzkill.” Our goal is to create a fun, safe place that our community and visitors can enjoy for years to come. The only way we can do that is by protecting our liquor license, our employees, and the future of Hooks.

To everyone who supports us and understands why these policies matter, thank you. Your support means more than you know.
