It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the news of the passing of our long-time co-owner and manager, Mr. Justo González, a namesake and grandson of our founder, the late Justo Barrientes, Sr.

We will honor his life this week, so thank you in advance for your understanding during our Oyster Bar family’s grief.

Thank you endlessly for your patience and for pardoning our progress during our temporary closure. As you can imagine with any special project, good things take time and a little longer than anticipated!

We are absolutely thrilled to share that Phase I of the Oyster Bar Too multi-phase refresh is near completion… which means we are ready for a soft re-open!

A small portion of our dining room is still closed as they finish, but our team is eager and ready to serve you during our normal business hours (11:30-2:30 PM and 5:00-9:00 PM)!

To our loyal customers: Happy New Year and hope your 2024 is off to an excellent start!

We have some very exciting but bittersweet news! After months of preparation and planning, The Oyster Bar Too on Paredes Line Road will be undergoing a refresh of our restaurant to modernize and freshen things up a bit and bring you an even better local seafood experience. We are thrilled to update our business with a fresh new look and feel, all while preserving that same great flavor you’ve known and loved since our doors first opened in 1950.

The restaurant will close Monday, January 22nd with the goal of a soft re-opening on Thursday, February 1st.

We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding during our time of closure.

Después de meses de preparación y planificación, The Oyster Bar Too en Paredes Line Road se someterá a una renovación para refrescar un poco las cosas y brindarle una experiencia de mariscos locales aún mejor. Estamos encantados de actualizar nuestro negocio con una apariencia nueva y fresca, al mismo tiempo que preservamos el mismo excelente sabor que usted ha conocido y amado desde que abrimos nuestras puertas en 1950.

El restaurante cerrará el lunes 22 de enero con el objetivo de una reapertura suave el jueves 1 de febrero.

We’d like to extend our sincere gratitude for the love and support this past week since the peaceful passing of our owner, father, grandfather, public servant, businessman, friend, and faithful Son of God.

We are still heartbroken but will continue to do our best and make him and his lasting legacy proud.

Thank you for over 60 years of serving through The Oyster Bar.

Forever in our hearts, we love and miss you, Henry C. González. ✝️🙏🏼🤍 RIP.

To our customers: THANK YOU for your patience! We recognize we have not been able to serve you in true Oyster Bar fashion, with the speedy service and ready-to-go orders we are typically known for. We are still extremely understaffed, which affects every aspect of our business operations. We appreciate your understanding and continued support and hope to return to "normalcy" very soon when we have a full staff.
