September is Blood Cancer Awareness Month, and I'm combining two things that mean a lot to me: baking and supporting a cause close to my heart.

Throughout the month, The Alternative Bakery & Gifts will be hosting a Raise the Dough fundraiser, with 100% of proceeds supporting my Blood Cancer United fundraising efforts.

Every cookie, brownie, loaf, and sweet treat purchased helps fund research, patient support, advocacy, and education for blood cancer patients and their families.

This year is especially meaningful as I work toward my goal of raising $20,000 in celebration of my upcoming 20-year anniversary with Blood Cancer United and my participation in the Team In Training Banff Hike.

I'll be traveling for work, so The Alternative Bakery & Gifts will be closed Saturday, July 18 through Sunday, July 26. I'll be back and ready to bake again on Monday, July 27!

Before I leave, I still have 2 four-packs of my new German Chocolate Cupcakes available for $18 each.
