Thank you so much for the well wishes and prayers!

I ended up leaving the hospital on AMA at 1:30am Thursday morning. Due to me not feeling like I was getting the proper care. It had been 31 hours since I last ate or drank anything. I took the 2 additional exams ordered by the surgeon. One at 330 pm and another at 7pm. It was 1 in the morning and my results were still not in. I couldn't wrap my mind around this situation being life threatening yet its taking them 9 hrs to get the results? My blood pressure kept dropping, at this point it was 97/49. My husband called asking questions and letting them know that if nothing is being done he is taking me home to rest. 10 mins later the nurse comes in my room and sternly says "you're having surgery tomorrow, we are just waiting for the results to see if its an am surgery or pm" I asked what the deciding factor was since they haven't even seen the 2nd CT scan. Nurse said "that is what he ordered" and walked off. I was not on any pain medication, infact I hadn't had pain since 9am on Wednesday. It didn't feel right, so I left.

I was able to spend Thanksgiving with my family yesterday which I'm very thankful for.

I went to get a second opinion today and everything looked great! CT scan and blood work came back normal. No acute appendicitis insight!

Hi friends!
I want to sincerely apologize for not being able to deliver my empanadas today! I had everything set to go but my night took a turn.

I had severe stomach pain for hours before going to the er. I ended up having acute appendicitis. I was scheduled to have sugery today to remove it but right before, the surgeon examed my abdomen, and decided he wanted to hold off to do more testing.

I am still in the hospital. Not my ideal way to spend Thanksgiving but I'm praying I'll be able to go home soon. Thank you to everyone for being extremely understanding, supportive, kind and encouraging during this time. I truly appreciate all of your prayers. I'll be back in the kitchen soon🫶

I hope you all have a day filled with love, laughter, and delicious food, tomorrow. Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃❤️
