John and I promised ourselves we would not be at the Blue Hill Fair all day everyday - so if you are looking for us from Thursday through Monday next week, we will be at the fair!

We absolutely love being at the Tricounty Beekeepers Club tent fair week - we see so many repeat visitors, meet new people, learn and share what we know about bees and beekeeping. Be sure to come visit us - we will be there all day, everyday, of the Blue Hill Fair! BLUE HILL FAIR

Our Field Days are for anyone and everyone. If you have your own PPE, bring it. If you are curious about Beekeeping, come join us. We will find a jacket and veil for you to use.

Join us at 11:00 am for our next field day!

We are going to be checking the efficacy of our mite treatment.

We will be testing to see if the mite count has dropped as a result of the Formic Pro treatment, and, making decisions based on the result!

Bring your veil and your curiosity! If you donโ€™t have bees or a veil, we can set you up!

We love our friends at Quillโ€™s End Farm. This is a lovely write up, and describes their beautiful farm perfectly.

This week's Friday Farm Highlight is Quill's End Farm!

Nestled along Route 15 just before Back Ridge Road in North Penobscot, Quills End Farm is a familiar sight to many traveling through the area. You may recognize their beautiful working horses and dairy cows grazing in the fields surrounding the farmโ€”a reminder of the rich agricultural heritage that makes our community so special.

Quills End Farm offers a variety of locally produced goods, including fresh milk, yogurt, vegetables, beef, and more. Their farm store is open dawn to dusk, seven days a week, making it easy to stop by and support local agriculture.

We're proud to celebrate Quills End Farm as part of our Farmland Forever program and thank them for helping preserve the working lands that make the Blue Hill Peninsula such a special place.

To learn more about Farmland Forever, visit our website. And if you're traveling Route 15, be sure to stop by Quills End Farm or visit their page to support this wonderful local family farm!

Caught a swarm in our own yard ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

Why do these naughty girls swarm? Itโ€™s a natural method of reproduction. Rather than just making more individual bees, the colony splits in two to create a new colony. This usually happens in the spring or early summer when hives become overcrowded and food resources are plentiful.
