We extend our condolences to Pauline's family as we remember her life following her recent passing. She was a loyal employee at the original location on W. 50th and Lorain. She will be greatly missed.

Dear customers,

It is with a heavy heart we make the announcement that we never hoped to make. On March 4th, 2024 the Biddulph Plaza location of Steve's Diner will be closing permanently. This is not a choice we want to make, but we are unable to renew our lease for the space we are currently in. We want to thank all of our wonderful guests and employees for supporting us over these many years.

We feel this statement expresses our feelings perfectly:

"We all mourn the loss of our favorite restaurants for they provide us with so much more than food. They provide nourishment for our soul and when they are gone, much of the soul of the neighborhoods in which they resided will be gone as well: missing out on seeing our favorite waitress who remembers what we enjoy, saying “hi” to our favorite server and sitting at the place that makes us most comfortable, talking to the owner about life in general, seeing the hardworking support staff take extra care to provide us with a dropped napkin or a missing fork. All of these small gestures that make us feel at home in our neighborhood will be missing. And that will make our neighborhoods feel lacking as well–less interesting, less familiar, less inviting. These are one of the things that defines BEING AT HOME in our community. They are a gathering place to share accounts of our days, to celebrate big events in our lives or just share a table with our friends."

There is so much more we want to say, but words can't express the gratitude for you, our customers and employees in the 10 years we've been here, not just as a restaurant, but a meeting place, a place to laugh with friends or have small moments with family. If you would comment below with your favorite memories, we would love to hear about your time with us.

Thank you for your continued support, and we will see you for chili dogs at our other location Steve's Doghouse at 3850 Pearl Rd, Cleveland.
