Pluck U Wings & Things "Fresh Food that's Fun" How it all began...
In their senior year of college Steve and Greg’s future had already
seemed assured. Ready to open their restaurant.

Steve was on his way to law school and Greg had a highpaying
job all lined up on Wall Street. Yet, that spring, they had a dream,
a dream of selling Buffalo-style Chicken wings in New York City. So, Steve
and Greg told the Ivy league and Wall Street respectively, that they were
going to “wing-it” and thus the dream of Pluck University was hatched. Our two intrepid pluckers set out armed with a lit

tle ingenuity,
determination, and Mom’s chicken wing recipe. From there they
developed their five secret sauces: Mild, Medium, Hot, 2Hot (Death), and
BBQ. They added other items including, chicken fingers, chicken
sandwiches, mozzarella sticks, their special beef chili, fresh cut fries,
onion rings, and salads. the two plunged
into the wing business beak first. And on that day, August 31, 1989, Pluck
University was born! Since then, the dynamic wing duo have worked their hardest to pluck out
the finest Buffalo-style chicken wings possible. So enroll in the unique

Dear Beloved Customers,

It has been a blast serving you and the Greenwich Village area for so many years! We’ve learned plenty about this community; its rich history, the unique and independent art that this town generates, we’ve got to hear the stories of many NYU students from all over the world (and see them graduate too!) and had the opportunity to meet the various characters and faces of this neighborhood.

However, we’re moving onto the next chapter of Pluck U. Wings and Things, we’re moving to Downtown Brooklyn! Since 1989 we’ve been serving Manhattan and this will be a big step into new waters. We hope to see your faces once again at our new location: 88 Livingston Street, Brooklyn, NY, 11201 (right off of Court Street).

Hey everyone! We recently received a post from a random passerby claiming that we had "raw meat sitting in a sink in the basement with the door open to the outside!"

Little did she know, she was actually doing us a favor! We are just simply adhering to the regulations set forth by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. We use ONE sink simply for washing our poultry in and all the guidelines are strictly enforced and enacted each and every day of operation.
