LATEST UPDATE- LENGTHY MESSAGE, PLEASE READ IN ENTIRETY:
Thank you ALL for your continued support and for chomping at the bit wondering when we will be open again!!! We have been busy working behind the scenes and we have some exciting plans and announcements in the works!
The phone has been ringing off the hook, the kitchen is shining, sparkling, and ready to be put back into action, and the Bloody Mary Mix is ready to be poured! We are happy to announce that The Universe has aligned us with some EXTRAORDINARY local talent and we are so excited for the opportunity to team up with them and look forward bringing some NEW FLAIR to the corner! We are working daily to finalize all details and cannot wait for you to welcome them to the community!
For those of you who don’t know yet and who have been out there wondering, assuming, or not understanding the works of small family businesses, Let the TRUTH BE TOLD:
After years of dedication and commitment to our family business we lost our mother/daughter duo who ran our kitchen for the last 28 years at the end of July. The next week Rick and I were able to bring back some very talented and dedicated staff who stepped up together to help Rick and I run the busiest weekend of the summer during the yard sale weekend serving nearly 1000 people in just three shifts.
At that time we decided to take a “temporary pause” to regroup and rebuild a team that would have the ability to continue to serve our community with the care, the compassion, the dedication, and the talent that makes our little corner so special.
We have embraced this “temporary pause”and have been so fortunate for a little extra time with our Dad, Harold, as he continues to battle cancer. After 48 years in this industry, going 100 miles an hour 8 days a week, it’s amazing that when you actually stop and look around at your time you realize what is truly important in the moment, and right now it is our Dad!
We have embraced this pause and have actually gotten out on a couple weekends to support other local businesses in our area and take a little more time to just live life and to be with our family! We have embraced the pause with positivity and patience waiting to find the RIGHT PEOPLE and not just someone to fill a hole.
We are happy to say that we found the PERFECT FIT of kindness, caring, talent, experience, and compassion who will be bringing their very own specialties along with their energizing and trendy vibe to Harold’s while still continuing to serve some of Harold’s OG’s and Favorite’s.
We appreciate your continued patience as we finalize details and finish HIRING a few more people for our NEW TEAM! Mark your calendars for Sunday, October 4th as we plan to OPEN for a Special 48th Anniversary Surprise Breakfast from 8:00-2:00 where we will also REVEAL our NEW talent and the Plan moving into Fall!
We are Grateful to our Patrons and Grateful for your Patience, but most of all we are Grateful to the Universe for bringing us together with our New People!
We hope this clears up any of the Nay-Sayers and gives you the truthful insight of what is actually going on. We appreciate all the professionalism and support from our other business owners who have a better understanding of the difficulties that occur behind the scenes!
