Imagine my delight when my friends asked if i had any ideas to rework a few extra stripey shirts for them, and whadaya know, any excuse to mix it up with some stripes and i’m in! We dug out the most beautiful vintage shirts stripes we could find and mixed and matched the sleeves, so each shirt is unique, beautiful and a stripey surprise 💙 Thank you Alex Mill for the invitation, and please join us the Saturday for iced masala coffee, brownies and some of my hero products for keeping plastics out of our waste stream.

Each worker pant is reclaimed from bales and cost the planet nothing in this iteration, except for being well made and quality materials. Number X has a hand done blind hem, block printed no-waste winkies, 36 waist, 26 inseam

My neighbor has hung two of his photos in the shop that have a special meaning for me. Images of the artisans in Bagru, India, that is the cradle of block printing, that we use to reinvent existing clothing rather than buy new. Robert is also opening a show titled Carbon, at of his large scale photos of damaged glaciers, highlighting man’s effect on climate. hey there happy lil compost bin!! compost is the only way we have as a species for neatly and sustainably dealing with our waste. nature designed it to return to soil, while both landfill and recycling expend energy, require chemicals and negatively impact our environment. whenever we can, we should use things that can become compost and avoid trashing things and our world. compost is much simpler than you think, even though it hasn’t really been taught as much as it needs to be. it’s just anything natural, any food item, dirty paper, dead flowers, cotton, anything made from organic matter OR any man made product that is designed to be compostable.
with are going to be at IXV this Sunday, to give out that black gold and help you sign up your home or building for NYC’s brown bin compost program. we’d love to see you too, if you’re not already signed up or if you need some compost!
