Mom finally made it back to California.
She spent 20 years taking care of my dad.
My brother brought her to his home.
She finally got the fish taco She always wanted! I love her so much. She is such a great "gramma Stone"
My kids are so lucky to have her!

Hey, thank you everyone that came in today. They still have not plowed our lot, so sorry you all had to walk through the mountain. With the portico entrance we have, we get wind tunnels that pile snow right at our entrance. I did what I could, but it was a challenge. We had a great day. Probably because everyone else was closed. Thank you for roughing it with us.

I would recommend DOORDASH. NOT Uber or Grubhub. They will take an hour, while DOORDASH is much faster.

Man, I just spent 4 days at what I thought was a funeral.
And walked away with so much love for my wife!
We always separate at family gatherings so that we can table touch, and make sure everyone feels welcome. We are typically not together, by design. But this weekend was different.
We went to dinner with maybe 15 people...
Melanie Stone sat between my Uncle Ron (who's wife just died) and Uncle Bill (Who's sister had just died)
I was at the far side of this enormous table watching them interact together.
They were laughing and having such a great night together. She is such a special person! There is no chance I could have sat in that seat without being a downer and crying all night long. But Melanie brought them joy and laughter.
I am crying now writing this.
My Uncle Ron and Uncle Bill love her so much. They both mean so much to me. I am so proud of her that she brought such a smile to both of them at such a trying time. Really sucks that Melanie's parents both died so young. They would be so proud of how caring she is.

My dad's sister died.
One more left on the Stone side!
She was always at every single one of our family events, no matter how ill she was. My dad loved her so much. My mom said "She was my friend before she was my sister." Really sweet person. She was the 1st person I called when dad died. They are holding hands again.
