Tonight is our last service, we are forever grateful for all the love and support.

A few things to note if you plan to visit us tonight.

Takeout:
Please note that our On-Line Takeout is live now, and it will remain OPEN until all slots are full, then it will be shut off. We will NOT be able to accommodate any takeout orders once the slots are full, which means that if you walk-in to place a takeout order we will NOT be able to accept it. We will NOT be accepting takeouts orders over the phone as well.

Walk-ins:
Dining Room is completely booked out for tonight. Walk-ins will be limited to the Bar and Sushi Bar, please check in with hostess to be added to the list. YES, you must be on a list to get a seat at the bar.

We appreciate your understanding. It’s our last dinner service, and our ultimate goal is to make sure that everyone has the best experience both staff and guests. We LOVE you all! It’s good bye for now, and we hope you’ll come visit us *inoi.mpls in Loring Park when we open in a few weeks.

Lemon Grass Farewell

Our last day of dinner service will be this Saturday March 25th. I still can’t believe that Lemon Grass is coming to an end after 18yrs. My heart is filled with sadness to know that Lemon Grass will be no longer exist after Saturday. I will be working at Lemon Grass this Friday and Saturday, I hope to say good bye to as many guests as possible, I want to hear about your Lemon Grass memories one more time, and give you all the biggest hugs ever. With so much LOVE I want you all to help me say, “good-bye,” to Lemon Grass 🧡🧡🧡

Please join us in welcoming the newest addition to our restaurant family. It may not be Lemon Grass #2, but we hope that you will embrace this “little chick,” as it was, because it came from the heart and soul of Lemon Grass.

G*i Noi, short for khao g*i noi, is a type of short grain glutinous rice emblematic of the northern Xieng Khouang regions of Laos, where chef Ann and her family are from. Also known as ‘little chick’ due to its spotted appearance and small shape, khao niew (sticky rice) is a staple of the Lao diet and is eaten in tandem with nearly all other dishes. So important is sticky rice in Lao culture, most Laotians refer to themselves as ‘luk khao niew’, or ‘children of the sticky rice’, as sticky rice is the sustenance of the people; the central component of any meal and gathering. Honoring this reference and cultural significance, G*i Noi hopes to be a binding agent for the community and connection to a heritage, culture, and lifestyle worlds apart from our own; a place to gather, share, celebrate, and nourish, coming as you are and being welcomed as luk khao niew.

Designed by Chicago based Laotian artist Chantala Kommanivanh, who also designed the logos for Lat14 and Khâluna.

All good things must come to an end.

After 18 amazing years, our lease at Lemon Grass is coming to an end, and with that, we have made the difficult decision to close this chapter and our doors permanently.

Lemon Grass has held a very special place in our heart, and we will never forget all of our amazing guests and incredible staff that have been our life blood for the past 18 years. We are thankful beyond words for the years of love and support we have received.

Our last day of dinner service will be March 25th, 2023. Until then, we hope to see many of your faces and to wish you all farewell, or at least, until next time, and celebrate one last meal together.

As we close this chapter, however, we will soon begin writing another, as we embark upon a new venture and restaurant in Minneapolis, where much of our Lemon Grass family + team will be joining us. This new chapter will not be a new iteration of Lemon Grass, but rather something entirely different. However, a few fan favorite menu items will be making the journey with us!

Ag*in, thank you for the years of love and support and for helping us write a story better than imaginable.
