Chef Tip of the Week! 🧑🏽🍳
Some of the best kitchen tricks didn’t come from the internet—they came from our grandmothers. ❤️ Somewhere along the way, those little bits of wisdom stopped being passed down, so I’m doing my part to keep them alive.
🧅 Store your onions in a nylon stocking or pantyhose and hang them up. The airflow helps keep them fresh for up to 6 months because they’re not trapped on a countertop or in a bowl.
🧄 Peel your garlic cloves and cover them with olive oil in a jar. The garlic stays ready to use, and the olive oil becomes beautifully infused with garlic flavor perfect for cooking, dipping bread, or making dressings.
These are the kinds of simple chef tips that save money, reduce food waste, and make cooking a little easier.
If you enjoy old-school kitchen wisdom like this, follow along! Let’s keep these timeless tips alive for the next generation. 👊🏽❤️
