Thanks for 10 great years. We made great memories and friends. We closed on the sale of Abner's today. The new owners are local and will be able to bring a restaurant back to the community. Be sure to check them out and support them as you did Abner's. Thank you all for your support and the memories.

Your input is welcome. We have spent this winter contemplating how we could open this spring if there are still capacity restrictions. Beginning February 1, the capacity will be 25% down from 50%, this is not the direction we were hoping for.

We miss everyone and want to open, so, how would people feel about car hop service, family size dinners to go,, chicken buckets to go. Outside eating if the customer has to come in to place an order, take out window.

We are open to constructive suggestions. Let's get Abner's open.

It is with great sadness to post, due to Governor Whitmer extending the Stay at home order to at least June 12, Abner’s will not be opening for the 2020 calendar year. With the suspected reduced seating which will come when the Governor does allow restaurants to open to inside seating, it is not a feasible business plan to open. A 4 to 5 month season with reduced seating is not viable. Should something drastically change for the better, we will consider the possibility of opening.

We look forward to seeing everyone next season, 2021.

Last night Governor Whitmer signed Executive Order 2020-69, which extends the prohibition of restaurants being open for business to dine-in customers, through May 28. Therefore, Abner's 2020 opening date is being delayed. An evaluation will be made as to the feasibility of being able to be open for business in 2020. Thank you.

Due to Governor Whitmer extending the Stay at Home order, Abner's will not be allowed to open as planned. Future plans will be posted as we await further information from the Governor. Thanks and stay healthy.
