Modern Eastern European Fare

Quick Update: Sara and I are overjoyed to welcome a new member to our family, Adela, named after my great-grandmother. Nothing has brought me more joy than to see her smile.

I’ve also been working for one of my all-time favorite wine & spirits portfolios Skurnik Wines & Spirits as a sales rep mostly in Western CT.

And if you know me, you know I can’t creatively sit still, so I’ve been using the time to casually play music again with old friends. Hrůza is our latest project with yours truly on vocals 😎 Find us streaming on your favorite platform as soon as next week!

PS - we will never give up on finding the right future home for Irka. That I can promise you! 😋

Thank you everyone!!! Almost four years and 150,000 pierogi later, without one missed outing and basically the same motley crew, we’re done… for now. As many of you know, it was always my intention to use the food truck as a launching pad for a brick & mortar. And it’s time to take the next step in earnest…

In the meantime, you’ll probably find me pouring wine at your favorite restaurant, finally getting a chance to relax with Sara, or doing a pop-up for our next planned chapter: Irka, an Eastern European wine bar named after my mom. Stay tuned for details and can’t wait to see you all there as soon as it happens!! Cheers and, again, thank you!! 😋🍾🥂

Our schnitzel sandwich is made w/ free-range, organic chicken breast brined in left-over whey from making our farmer’s cheese. It’s then topped with horseradish smetana, pickled onions, a veggie slaw, and preserved sour cherries for that full sweet/sour/savory effect 👨‍🍳😚👌(Always available gluten-free upon request too!)
