Happy Election Day!

Don't forget to vote! You have until 8:00 PM tonight to return your ballot. At this point, do not mail it, as it will not arrive in time to be counted. Instead, drop it off at one of the convenient ballot drop boxes. In South County, you can use the drop boxes at both the Brinnon Community Center and the Quilcene Community Center. There are some important issues on the ballot including measures for Brinnon & Quilcene Fire.

Speaking of elections, Jefferson County Commissioner Candidate Jean Ball is hosting an Election Night Watch Party here at the Halfway House beginning at 7:00 PM. To prepare for the event, we'll be closing our regular restaurant operations at 6:45 PM. Everyone is welcome, and refreshments will be provided!

Wow, what a weekend!

On Saturday, August 1st, we broke our all-time single-day sales record, topping the previous record set on August 3, 2024.

In just one day, we served 315 meals across 101 checks. For the entire weekend, we served 616 meals over 235 checks and cooked more than 2,400 individual menu items. That's just incredible!

A huge thank you to our amazing patrons and to our rockstar staff for absolutely crushing it. Even with the record-breaking crowds, we kept wait times under our standard 30 minutes for most of the weekend. We hit a couple of rushes where we stretched well past our normal capacity, but our team never stopped hustling and got it done. We couldn't be more proud.

A special thank you to our amazing guests and staff who helped us celebrate an important birthday today. Let’s just say our oldest son, Brady, can finally order a Halfway House Bloody Mary. 🍅🥳

He may be a Quilcene firefighter, but he’s also a big part of the Halfway House family. On any given day, you might find him as our “celebrity” waiter, cook, dishwasher, or wherever he’s needed most.

We couldn’t be prouder of the man you’ve become. Happy Birthday, Brady! We love you and hope this is your best year yet! ❤️

Looks like we're finally getting a little break from the heat today, and there's even a chance of rain this evening. We could sure use it!

Today brings a couple of National Food Days. First up...National Tofu Day. Yeah...we're going to respectfully sit this one out.

But it's also National Coffee Milkshake Day, and now you're speaking our language. Did you know we can turn just about anything into a milkshake? If you've got a favorite dessert, candy bar, or flavor, chances are we can blend it into something delicious.

Speaking of milkshakes, today is the LAST DAY to vote in the Best of the Olympic Peninsula! We're trying to defend our title as Jefferson County's Best Milkshake, and we'd be honored to earn your vote. While you're there, we'd appreciate your support in any of the 21 other categories where we've been nominated. If you already voted, you can still vote again, it resets every day.

Mother Nature finally turned down the thermostat! It looks like we're in for a beautiful cool-down today, and it's the perfect excuse to get out of the house.

Saturday means one thing...Prime Rib Night! Come grab a seat, say hello, enjoy one of the best prime rib dinners around, and kick off your weekend the right way.

It's also National Hot Fudge Sundae Day, so don't leave without dessert. We'll pile on the hot fudge and all the toppings because calories don't count on national holidays...right?
