Wellllll last week was interesting 😂

Three days without power was definitely NOT on our September bingo card, but we made it through and we are very happy to be starting a fresh week at Stateside 🥳🙌🏼

Power is ON.
Coffee is brewing.
Grill is hot.
And most importantly… WE HAVE FOOD 😂👏🏼

What an exciting day!! WE ARE OPEN!!!!
We love the social media support you all have been sending our way…. Saying you’re missing us and having withdrawals. Did you know we miss our customers too?! Our staff knows and cares about you. If we haven’t seen people for a while we will ask each other have you seen them lately? You all make our days and truly give us so much purpose in what we do❤️

WE HAVE POWER!❤️

After three long days, we are incredibly happy to finally have our power back on! Thank you all so much for your patience, understanding, and support while we’ve been dealing with this unexpected situation.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to reopen immediately today. Since we were without power and had to dispose of our food, we now have to completely restock and re-cook everything before we can safely serve our customers again.

We are currently waiting on our delivery from Eastern Market, and now that we have refrigeration back up and running, we’re able to properly receive and store our food. We will be working hard to get the kitchen restocked, prep everything, and get us back up and running.

The good news is that we WILL be open tomorrow! 🎉❤️ We may not be able to open today, but we are using today to get everything back in order so that we can welcome everyone back tomorrow.

We know many of you are ready to come back — trust us, we are too! We’ll see you tomorrow! 🥪❤️

Thank you for sticking with us through this crazy week. We appreciate you more than you know!

DAY 3 WITHOUT POWER 💔

Unfortunately, we are still without power and as of right now will have to remain CLOSED TODAY.

This has been an incredibly difficult few days for our small business. Between being forced to close, losing a significant amount of food, and now entering our third day without power, we are feeling the impact in a big way. We are doing everything we can on our end, but unfortunately, this is completely out of our control.

We know so many of you have been trying to stop in, and we truly cannot thank you enough for your patience, understanding, and support. ❤️ Your messages, comments, and continued support mean more to us than you know.

We are hoping and praying that we can get the power back and get Stateside Deli back open as soon as possible. We will keep everyone updated as soon as we know more.

Thank you for sticking with us through this. We can’t wait to see all of you again! ❤️🥪

CLOSED DUE TO POWER OUTAGE FROM THE STORM

We know the storm last night was very intense and we really hope that everybody is safe and OK.

We will be spending the day emptying all our coolers and hopefully we will have power restored so we can replenish product and be open tomorrow 🙏🏻

We were informed that this work from DTE was scheduled for today, so we made the necessary decision to close our restaurant and make arrangements with our staff accordingly. Unfortunately, DTE Energy did not show up as scheduled and we were not informed that the work was not going to happen until later in the afternoon. By that point, we had already made staffing arrangements and closed for the day, leaving us unable to simply reopen on such short notice.

We have now been told the work is expected to take place tomorrow, but after what happened today, we honestly do not know whether the work will actually happen tomorrow or if we will once again be left waiting for an update.

This has been extremely frustrating and incredibly difficult for our small business. We completely understand that necessary work needs to be done, but the lack of communication and uncertainty has a very real impact on our business, our employees, and our customers.

We sincerely apologize to everyone who planned on visiting us. We will update everyone at 830AM as soon as we have confirmation about tomorrow’s schedule.

‼️Wednesday Closure 9/2/26‼️

Due to necessary DTE electrical work, the 2/42 Community Center will be closed, which unfortunately means our restaurant will also be without power.

We are hopeful that the work will be completed on Wednesday; however, there is a possibility that it may extend into Thursday. At this time, we are confirmed to be closed on Wednesday. We will keep everyone updated as soon as we know whether Thursday’s closure will also be necessary.
