One last, THANK YOU AND WE LOVE YOU!!!! We were so honored to have this beautiful video produced during our last couple weeks. We are grateful for all who dined with us, those who contributed in various ways, all our staff, and our incredible Chef Steve Pilon for the Wooden Spoon dream!

We miss you so much already!

Much to the heartache of many regulars, the Wooden Spoon said Monday it would be closing after 10 years in operation. It appears the shock of seeing the well-trafficked restaurant ending its reign has sparked a surge in demand.

A few notes after another crazy day for us:

- Due to the overwhelming (and incredible!!!) response to our closing, we will no longer be taking carry out orders. We have been barely making it trying to fulfill the surge of carry out that has been coming through this week in addition to our in house service! It matters to us to preserve the integrity of our operation. We don’t have the capacity to keep up with the demand, and we want to serve you the best we can as we share our last meal with you. We look forward to having you dine with us!

- Gift cards purchased before 2019 needs to be validated online. Our system does not have record of these cards anymore. You will need to show the balance of the card at time of payment. You can go to the website on the back of the card and look up the balance. Wooden spoon gift cards purchased 2019 to now can be redeemed at El Arbol till 8/10.

- Because of supply issues and our higher volume of traffic this week, we will be closing from 3-4pm to allow the kitchen to reset, and our AM / PM staff to accommodate.

Please remember to be kind and patient with us during this last week together!! We want to see you and we are doing our absolute best to serve you!!

To our incredible, loyal community,

Today we honor and value all who have entered the doors of the Wooden Spoon. All of you who have dined with us, shared your family and friends with us, created memories with us, and worked for us. You have gathered here and stuck by our side through every stage and season of our business. Whether you have dined with us once, become a regular, or rewarded us with your hard work, we treasure you all. You have all become our Spoon family. We thank you for a remarkable decade in business.

It takes a village to become a success and we proudly acknowledge our creative chefs, cooks, baristas, and visiting musicians; our hardworking managers, servers, hosts, and dishwashers; our reliable farmers and suppliers. Each one of you played a part in bringing our vision to life.

Over the last ten years, we believe that the Wooden Spoon has become a staple in our community. We were passionate about bringing you farm to table ingredients, diverse menu options, and unique events. It was our goal to continue to bring you the best version of our business by changing the deli to a bar, our market to more dining, our “Farmer’s Market” to the raw bar, and adding the outdoor kitchen to our patio. Thank you for joining us for our pig roasts, crawfish boils, and brunches. It has been a wonderful chapter in our lives, inspired by our passion for food, celebration, and the people of our community.

As we all understand, all good things must come to an end. The restaurant business is difficult and delicate. The pandemic added it’s own weight to the typical challenges of this business. For these reasons, we have decided to end our run on a good note, with the patio full of smiling faces, and the summer sun brightening our spirits and the days ahead. With heavy but grateful hearts, we announce that our last day of serving you will be July 10th. We will forever remember and cherish the years we have spent with the people of our beautiful town. Words will never fully express our gratitude to all of have been a part of this journey.

Please drop by this week so we may hug you goodbye and share one more meal with you.
