Saturday is the beginning of Utah's Northern Zone Waterfowl Hunt Season. Here is an update on current water availability and access conditions.

As of now:
Units 2D and 3B are filled at target level.
Units 1A, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3G, 3H, 3I, 3J, 9, and 10 are being actively filled.
Unit 2C will begin filling after the scheduled prescribed burn activities have concluded.

With limited water, due to ongoing drought conditions affecting much of Northern Utah, boating access may be limited. Hunters are encouraged to plan accordingly and check current conditions before heading out. Refuge staff are doing everything possible to provide quality habitat and access for hunters.

Thank you for your understanding. For more information on hunting regulations, please visit the Utah Waterfowl Guidebook: https://wildlife.utah.gov/guidebooks

Visit Box Elder County is looking for a creative, self-motivated part-time Social Media Coordinator to bring our destination marketing campaign, Naturally Outside The Box, to life across organic social channels. This is a hands-on, day-to-day content role - you'll be the daily voice behind our social presence, capturing and sharing the wide-open landscapes, wildlife, water recreation, history, and small-town character that make Box Elder County a must-visit (not just a drive-through) Utah destination.

This role is ideal for someone who loves telling visual stories, has a great eye behind the camera, and knows how to spot and ride a trend before it peaks.
