Last week we honored a man who made a lasting impact on the Bridgeport Community. It reminded me of the love that was poured into The Tarnished Halo and the amount of hours and money invested into the original business that turned into The Simple Co.

It took two amazing women who had a vision and a goal and a father and family who cheered them on and supported their dream. We are honored to continue that and I couldn’t be more grateful for the ones who laid the foundation to give people like me the chance to do the same.

We had a little team bonding + team meeting after a full couple of weeks of training, and we’re so excited about this next chapter at The Simple Co. 🤍

We were definitely a little sad to see Ashlynn and Halle head off to college next week, but we are SO proud of the girls they’ve become and all the ways they’ve poured into The Simple Co. over the years. 🥹✨ We’ll miss them around here, but we’re excited to welcome some new faces and watch this next group grow!

Thank you all for your patience and grace these last couple of weeks as we’ve been training, teaching, and showing the new girls all the ins and outs of The Simple Co. We’re so thankful for your support as we learn, grow, and settle into a new season!

💛 THANK YOU, BRIDGEPORT! 💛

Our last and final Bridgeport City Sounds of the season is officially in the books, and we truly cannot say thank you enough to everyone who came out, participated, volunteered, sponsored, supported, and helped make this event what it was!

🚗 First, a HUGE thank you to everyone who brought a vehicle for Cruise Night!

We had 34 cars this year — more than we ever expected — and it was SO exciting to see the cruise grow! We are already looking forward to seeing how this continues to grow in the years ahead.

We appreciate you more than you know!

A huge thank you to Jeff Nicholes for rounding up the youth games and always being so willing to jump in and help in that area.

Thank you to Carri Harless for helping us get everything set up logistically on the City side of things and for continuing to have conversations about how we can help this event grow and serve our community in the years to come.

❤️ Martina Redshaw and my Simple Co girls — I truly could not have done this without you. You are always willing to jump on board, help wherever needed, and make things happen. Martina, you put in SO much leg work behind the scenes, and I am incredibly grateful for you. You are truly an all-around amazing person and such a gift to our community!

🚓 Thank you to Milo Cardenes, the Morrill County Sheriff’s Department, and the Sheriff’s Posse for helping with setup and tear down, blocking traffic for the cruise, and working the last two events. Thank you for always being willing to step in wherever you are needed!

💙 And thank you to the Bridgeport Student Council for donating your time to help with the kids’ games, setup, and tear down. We love seeing our students involved and helping create something special for their community!

I can honestly say that the new addition of Bridgeport City Sounds was a HUGE success.

In the time we are living in, I think connection is something we are all craving. We want to know our neighbors. We want our kids to grow up together. We want reasons to gather, laugh, listen to music, play games, cruise down the street, and simply enjoy being a community.

And that is exactly what we hoped Bridgeport City Sounds could become. ❤️

We are already excited to start putting everything together for next year, so keep your eyes open for what’s coming next for Bridgeport City Sounds! 🎶

Thank you, Bridgeport, for showing up and making this something worth continuing.

Remember when Main Street was the place to be? 🚘✨

You’d get your girls, get your boys, pile into the car, roll the windows down, turn the music up and cruise Main Street just to see who was out. No big plans, no fancy destination — just good friends, good music and a summer evening in a small town.

We’re ready to bring a little bit of that back to Bridgeport! ❤️

Bring your family, grab your friends and come spend the evening with us at Bridgeport City Sounds: Cruise Night & Back to School Bash! We’ve got a whole evening planned for you, and we can’t wait to see Main Street filled with people, cars, music and memories.

A few things to remember 👇

🚘 CRUISE NIGHT
Cruise Night starts at 4:00 PM, and the cruise route map has been posted! Come out and take a cruise down Main Street like they did back in the day.

🎶 LIVE MUSIC
Our music lineup kicks off at 4:00 PM with The Two Jay’s
Then Avid Dischord takes the stage at 5:00 PM, with a special appearance by 4 on the Floor between 6:30–7:00 PM!

🛍️ VENDORS + FOOD
We’ll have plenty of food, sweet treats, shopping vendors and local vendors to wander through. Come hungry and stay awhile!

🚌 PACK THE BUS
Don’t forget to bring items from our Pack the Bus list! We’ll be collecting donations to help our local early childhood programs and daycares get ready for the school year.

And while you’re there, check out the school’s new wrap on the charter bus! 🚌✨

📍 VENDORS: You may load and unload on 11th Street. Please have everything completely set up and move your vehicle(s) off 11th Street and onto a side street before 4:30 PM.

Bring the kids. Bring your friends. Bring your classic car.

Let’s fill Main Street, turn up the music, and make some memories — just like they used to. ❤️🚘🎶
