Kathleen and Charlie Marder hosted Marders 39th Annual Open House Friday, November 27-Sunday, November 29th. Guests browsed the Garden Shop decked out with sparkling lights, botanical transgender deer dressed mannequins and great gift ideas for everyone on your holiday list. Everyone enjoyed freshly baked cookies & hot cider while listening to the music of Steve Shauhnessy & his musicians.
The Wildlife Rescue Center’s Nick Marzano & crew fascinated young and old with Birds of Prey including Meep the great horned owl and 2 red tail hawks.
World renowned garden designer, Arne Maynard, gave a lecture on the making of his new book “The Gardens of Arne Maynard “on Friday and Saturday to standing room only crowds. A book signing & reception immediately followed with Maynard holding court with the crowd and regaling them with tales of his adventures in gardening & explaining his design process.
Art enthusiasts attended Mica Marder’s art exhibit & reception Saturday evening at the Gallery. The exhibit will be on display thru the end of 2015.
The holiday décor will be on display in the Garden Shop all month long, along with fresh Christmas trees, ornaments, wreaths, dried arrangements and unique gifts for all.
