With the permission of Lacey’s son, Brayden, and her father, I wanted to share a few photos and some words about someone who meant so much to our Chill family. ❤️
The day we heard of Lacey’s passing was a difficult day for our Chill family.
Today was her celebration of life of someone who was so much more than a customer. She was a friend, a source of love and laughter, and someone who will forever hold a special place in our hearts. ❤️
It’s hard to accept that I can no longer send her a text just to say I miss her and get a message back. Today, I found myself going through our old text messages, filled with so much love, laughter, life things, and those little moments that I’ll forever cherish. I cried, but I’m glad knowing that we never missed an opportunity to tell each other how much we loved and appreciated one another.
She was one of our absolute favorite people to see walk through our doors, she was loved by our entire team, her presence was truly something special. She would spoil us with her amazing caramel popcorn. And some of my favorite memories were the rare moments we got to spend together outside the shop, too.
I’m still in a bit of denial that she’s gone. I’ll forever be grateful for her love, support, and genuine friendship.
I know she was an incredible mom to her beautiful children, a wonderful wife to Kevin, and a loving daughter to her dad. She had so much love to give, and we were so lucky to have been on the receiving end of it.
I’m glad Sal once labeled her cup “THE GOAT” because that’s exactly what she was to us and she knew just how much we meant it.
I hope you’re up there enjoying all the dirty chais your heart desires. ☕❤️ We’ll miss you.
One of the most beautiful things about owning a little shop like ours is that sometimes the people who walk through our doors become so much more than customers. They become family. And she will forever be a part of ours.
Until we meet again, we love you and we will never forget you. ❤️
