🌟 Brattleboro, you showed up for us. From the bottom of our hearts — thank you.
When we shared our story, we didn’t know what to expect. We were scared, heartbroken, and uncertain about the future of everything we had built.
You proved us wrong in the most beautiful way.
The messages, the donations, the shares, the kind words from strangers who became friends — every single one of them lifted us up when we needed it most. You reminded us why we came to Brattleboro. Why we opened our doors. Why we cooked with love every single day.
To every person who donated, shared our post, or simply said “we believe in you” — we see you. We are so grateful for you.
And now we have news we are so proud to share:
Saffron Restaurant is coming back. 🔥
We are working hard behind the scenes to bring the flavors of our Afghan homeland back to your table — in a new home, with the same warmth, the same recipes, and the same family that has always been at the heart of this restaurant.
Brattleboro, you didn’t let us give up. So we won’t.
Stay tuned. We’ll see you soon. 🙏🧡

Saffron Restaurant needs your help, Brattleboro area residents and friends from near and far

Saffron Restaurant was forced to close—not because of anything we, the owners, or the employees, did wrong, but because of a dispute between the landlord and Green Mountain Power.
Without notice to any of its occupants, including our restaurant, GMP cut power to the entire Colonial Motel and Pool complex. Then the water supply was cut off. Without water and electricity, we cannot run our business. Our hardworking employees are now without income. Our doors are closed on Putney Road.
But we are NOT giving up. We simply need some help with relocating and reopening.
We are a small, immigrant-owned Middle Eastern restaurant. We scrimped and saved to open Saffron Restaurant. We invested everything — over $100,000 of our savings, loans from friends, essentially everything we had — into bringing the flavors of our Afghan homeland to Brattleboro. We signed contracts in good faith.
We are going to reopen in another location as soon as possible. We just need the Brattleboro area’s friends to help us to get there.

💔 Saffron Restaurant needs your help, Brattleboro.

We are temporarily closed — not because of anything we did wrong, but because our landlord's utility dispute with Green Mountain Power shut off electricity to our entire building without warning.

We are a small, immigrant-owned Meddle Eastern restaurant. We invested everything — over $100,000 of our savings and years of our lives — to bring Saffron to this community. In an instant, that was put at risk through no fault of our own.

Our employees are without income. Our doors are closed. But we are NOT giving up.

We are reopening in other location. We just need Brattleboro's help to get there.
