MOLE POBLANO ( a chocolate chile mole smothered over a bed of rice with a choice of pork or chicken OR over a chicken tamale.
RAJAS TAMALE (vegetarian, with a filling of roasted poblano peppers, cheddar, queso fresco)
POZOLE ( a bowl or cup, hominy / vegetable soup, vegan, with chicken or pork. ps. I promise I will make more this week :)

TIP: the earlier you call, the better choice of food items and pick up times you will have. We start taking orders at noon. Please do not leave your order on the machine. I will even take orders a day in advance.

In addition to this weeks specials today I am making some BRAZO DE REINA (rolled steamed vegetarian tamal with layers of spinach, kale, roasted ground pumpkin seeds, chopped egg)

One of the hardest things about closing is that I won't get the pleasure of hanging out with Lorena all day at work. She is more than an enployee, more than a friend, she is dear dear family. There is nothing she cannot do. Whom ever is able to sn**ch her up as an employee next is lucky beyond belief. If you are looking for an incredible person for your team you better act quick. She does the work of 4 people with a smile on her face!!!

PAVO A LA QUESO RELLENO (Tia Nochi made this dish which is a specialty of Tizimin: Turkey simmered in a broth of recado blanco (white marinade) chile catic, charred onions, Edam stuffed with turkey picadillo. A very elaborate dish only found in households on special occasions)

5 weeks to go until our last day of April 9. Thank you all so much for the comments. It is hard to explain the emotional impact this is having on us. We are so grateful for the support!!!

The first time Chris came over to eat at my mom’s table he confessed to me that he didn’t like Mexican food. She set up the lazy susan with all the taco toppings and salsas and in the middle, a huge bowl filled with salbutes. After eating about 8-9 salbutes he said, ā€œThis would make a great restaurant!ā€ My mom laughed and said in her accent, ā€œReally! That’s my dream.ā€ Years later Three Stones Mexican Mayan Cocina was born.
We wanted to thank the community for all the support over these 12+ years. Over the years we have watched kids grow up, couples who are now solid partners on their first dates, mourned as regulars who became friends have passed away, and shared so many priceless moments with people who came in for some food and ended sharing much more. All good things come to an end and after much deliberation we have decided that the time is right to move on to other things in life and make room for something new to be created at 105 Canal Street.
If you would like to hear about any reincarnations of Three Stones Inc. please let us know you would like to join our mailing list. We will be keeping our page active for future events. Our official last day is April 9, 2022. We wanted to share our news so that anyone looking to order food will have plenty of notice as we have 6 weeks left to go.
