Stone County residents have been contacted in the last 24 hours by scammers posing as Stone County Deputies. We will not EVER call you and ask you to pay a fine over the phone! We will not call you and ask you to pay to bond someone over the phone!!

If you are contacted by someone saying they are from the Stone County Sheriffs Office and feel uncomfortable about it, please hang up and call our at office at 417-357-6116 to verify the information.
