Hi everyone, it’s been awhile! How have you been? We’ve made it through another year and believe it or not, earlier this month we celebrated our 24th anniversary – truly a milestone we didn’t know was in the cards back in 1997.
But as they say, all good things must come to an end. We’re writing to you today to let you know that the rumors are true…the restaurant is closing. Our last day of business will be December 18th. The past 24 years have certainly been memorable, and we’re grateful you were a part of it.
The last year has given us a lot of time to think about what’s best for our family moving forward. In 2020, Sekyo completed his Master’s program in Acupuncture, and his patient load has become busier ever since. And while Lianne moved back home mid-pandemic out of care for her parents’ sanity to help keep the restaurant staffed, it’s time for her to continue on her own career path. As for Anna – I think we can all agree she deserves a long, relaxing break.
We’re not going anywhere though! Sekyo’s home acupuncture clinic will be open to the public early 2022 and we hope you’ll come visit us. The clinic will be named Seoul Sun (설산) – the characters are the Korean translation of Yooki Yama, and a nod to what brought us to this next chapter.
Words aren’t enough to show our family’s appreciation for you all. We’ll be open for takeout until December 18th, so we hope to see you soon.
With love and gratitude,
the Yun family
