Ever wonder why wood fire pizzas taste different? 🤔

Well it really comes down to heat. 🔥 A wood-fired oven runs at around 800–900°F, so a pizza bakes in about 60–90 seconds instead of 10–15 minutes.

That fast, intense bake is what gives you the airy, puffy crust with those dark "leopard spots" on the edge. The crust gets crisp while the inside stays soft around the middle allowing the cheese to melt without it getting greasy. Toppings also taste fresh instead of overcooked.

⭐️ Fun fact: Because the pizzas cook so fast, the oven operator has to turn the pizzas every few SECONDS to ensure it cooks evenly!

We are open all week, so come by this week and taste the difference for yourself. Also make sure to check out our daily lunch specials that are available 11-2PM.

Ever wonder what the difference is between calzones and pizza? 🤔 If so, here are some quick facts:

🇮🇹 Born in Naples, Italy, calzones started out as a street food you could eat while walking
👖 Calzone means “trouser” or "pant leg" in Italian (think of the folded shape)
🍕 Pizza is open-faced. Calzones are sealed, with all the good stuff tucked inside
🧀 The sauce usually stays on the side for dipping instead of sitting on top

Our calzones use the same dough as our pizza and are shaped strategically to get that perfect rise and color. 🤌

Come try one today! 👏
