Bùn Chà in Hanoi. This was a recommendation from a local. We didn’t realize it was a famous spot for visitors, so we decided to try it out. The Bùn Chà, which is the grilled pork stew was phenomenal. The broth was some of the best I’ve ever had. You could put anything in that broth and it would taste delicious! Worth a try if you’re in the area, but I wouldn’t go out of the way.

Ate at Chiang Kei for breakfast. Didn’t know much about porridge in Asian cuisine before trying, and never thought I’d try a 100 year old egg in my lifetime. The ambience was great. Very laid back restaurant with many options for breakfast, including ‘western’. The crispy duck porridge and the crispy pork soup were definitely some of the highlights of the breakfast dishes we tried in Chiang Mai.

Neat snack spot in Chiang Mai. They offer over 20+ Melts/Grilled cheese sandwiches on their freshly baked Japanese milk bread. They even have melts w/fruits. Overall it’s a nice place for a snack. Between the fresh baked breads, pastry dishes, and coffee it’s a good place to sit for a moment and enjoy something to chew on. Wouldn’t recommend this place for a sit down meal, but at 85 Baht/$2.62 for most of the menu items you probably could get stuffed off of $10 worth of melts 😀

The Crispy Pork of Hia Tee was one of our favorite experiences of Bangkok’s street food scene. They cranked racks of these out, continuously, the entire time we were there. Even though the crispy pork was in a broth, it was somehow still incredibly crispy and succulent. Definitely recommend it if you’re in Bangkok.

Drove out of the way to try these! Unique, and the cheapest Michelin ⭐️ meal we’ve ever had. If you’re in Bangkok definitely try it. They use a special machine to extract the oil from the fried banana, so it’s extra crispy! The owner even gifted us fried sweet potatoes as well. Banana Rama had a ton of other offerings, but the fried bananas are what makes them worth the drive.
