Congratulations to our Mounted Patrol Unit for earning 1st Place for Best Unit at our first-ever Sheriff's Spooktactical Night earlier this month. They impressed attendees with their Sleepy Hollow themed display, haunted trailer, and mounted patrol demonstrations. We're so thankful to Chick-fil-A Cortez Plaza for generously donating lunch to the entire Mounted Patrol Unit this week in honor of their win!
It was a very close race for 2nd and 3rd place, as so many units did an amazing job showcasing their duties and equipment, while going all-out with their Halloween themes, but 2nd Place was awarded to our Corrections Bureau for their "Hay Fever" harvest-themed display and scavenger hunt. Corrections staff were also instrumental in the success of the event, as they prepared hundreds of hotdogs for attendees and assisted in setup and creation of many of the photo props.
Third Place went to our District 2 (Patrol) team for their Haunted Pumpkin Patch display. Those who attended couldn't miss the huge pumpkin towering over the event. Everyone loved posing for photos in their haunted patch!
Thanks again to everyone who came out to the event, and our community partners who took part and donated candy, food, and equipment! We hope you had fun and we can't wait until next year! 🎃👻
Just had a chicken biscuit that had a small, very thin piece of chicken on it that was more batter than chicken. The second of the two we ordered was great.
I brought my 3 year old granddaughter in today for lunch. I have to say, it was the best dining experience I've had in a long time. The staff was super friendly, Missy, our cashier was so nice & the lady in the dining room (I don't remember her name), came & gave my granddaughter a little placement with farm animals on it. After she was thru eating, she actually came to our table & sat next to her & pointed to the animals & my granddaughter made the noises the animals make. When we went into the bathroom, they have a stool under the sink, so she was able to stand & wash her hands & I didn't have to hold her up (she's about 40 lbs)...anyone with a toddler knows how helpful that is!!
The food was perfect also!
Kuddos to all the people at this restaurant that make it such a pleasure to it's customers!!
Thank you!
I hope the new location being built closer to my house will be the same way!!
THANK YOU, Chick-fil-A Cortez Plaza! They took care of our team today and provided a TASTY lunch for us. We are so grateful and a special thank you to Nathan and Cynthia Hoeksema. You guys ROCK!

You are all doing AMAZING. With the number of cars at drive thru I thought it would be much longer. So worth it no matter the wait but I am gratefully impressed.
Thank you to the volunteers at Chick-fil-A Cortez Plaza who spruced up the MCS Emergency Shelter last weekend. We appreciate your time and hard work!
Happy Birthday Son!!!!! Another wonderful year doing life!! Reach for the stars and in touch with your Father In Heaven! 🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂💃💃💃🎂🎂❤️❤️❤️❤️🎁🎁🎁🎉🎉🎊🎊🎊

Started our day with donuts from Shipley Do-Nuts from Mr John and lunch was delivered from Chick-fil-A Cortez Plaza from Mr James! We have the best patients and full bellies! Thanks for spoiling us!
A huge shout out and many thanks to Nathaniel. He turned a bad situation into something that made me smile. He apologized for my order being an hour late and stated they were short staffed. I wish the manager would have done that over the phone when I called about my order. I suspect it was forgotten but a is good I certainly understand being short staffed since my own job is short staffed. Anyway thank you so much Nathaniel. You turned my disgruntled night into one of smiles. Kudos to you and Chick FIL a. My Cobb salad was wonderfully delicious. ❤️
