It is with the heaviest of hearts, that we invite all of you to join us here at Fan-Atics on Tuesday, February 13th from 6 to 9 pm to celebrate the life of Ms Jane Blacketer.
If you spent any time in or around Fan-Atics or the Bingo Hall over the past few decades, you most certainly have met Ms Jane. Ms Jane quite literally was the face of poker at Fans for many, many years. It was unfathomable that a poker night would go by and Ms Jane would be absent from the table; that's how much she loved the game and loved to shoot the breeze with her friends.
She had a gentle and calming presence about her that could instantly put anyone at ease, but everyone at the poker table would tell you that Ms Jane was the real OG and she wouldn't tolerate rudeness or the mistreatment of anyone. There wasn't a single person who met her that wouldn't walk away from that meeting being her new friend; that's just the kind of woman she was. Ms Jane was easy to talk to because she genuinely cared to know what was happening in the lives of the people she valued, and she was even easier to love.
She loved to play Bingo and poker, she loved Cake's version of the song War Pigs, she fiercely loved her family and friends, and she would've given the shirt off her back to help a friend in need.
Jane truly was an extraordinary woman, and she leaves behind quite the legacy of almost a century of a life well lived and well loved. She will very deeply and truly be missed by all of us at Fan-Atics, and by anyone who had the greatest honor in life of knowing her.
