BRADENTON, FL — Cottonmouth southern soul kitchen presents *Duke Tumatoe, Blues Man Extraordinaire*, one of America's great living blues showmen, for a rare Florida appearance.

Born William "Bill" Fiorio in 1947 on Chicago's South Side, Duke Tumatoe grew up where electric blues was born. As a teenager he was haunting Maxwell Street Market, watching Muddy Waters live. He learned drums at 14, guitar at 15, and in 1967 while at the University of Illinois became a founding member of REO Speedwagon before leaving to follow the blues.

What followed is a 60-year career that most musicians only dream about:

- *15 albums* as leader of Duke Tumatoe & The All-Star Frogs and Duke Tumatoe & The Power Trio
- Opened for and played with *Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Bo Diddley, Willie Dixon, Buddy Guy, George Thorogood and John Fogerty*
- His 1988 live classic *I Like My Job* was *produced by John Fogerty* for Warner Bros.
- First artist to use a wireless guitar and mic to roam the crowd on his signature "Red Pepper Hot"
- Creator of the nationally syndicated *"NFL Song"* and "Lord Help Our Colts" on *The Bob & Tom Show*

Described by the Michigan Daily as _"B.B. King played through Jimi Hendrix,"_ Tumatoe fuses gritty Chicago blues, R&B, funk and rock with razor-sharp humor and gut-level sincerity. His songs are funny, filthy, political, and deeply soulful — often in the same verse.

> "I first saw Muddy Waters when I was 13. We were hearing that stuff all the time and just assumed everybody was, too," Tumatoe recalls. "I can't believe I took that for granted."

This is not a museum-piece blues show. This is a master entertainer at full power — storytelling, shredding, and making a room laugh and dance in the same breath.

Seating is limited. This will sell out.
