On the 25th anniversary of September 11, we remember the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call and the families and communities forever changed by that day.

These photos take us back to 2016, when we marked the 15th anniversary of 9/11 at Anna Maria Oyster Bar on the Pier with the dedication of a new flagpole on the Bridge Street Pier. Manatee High School Junior ROTC raised the American flag before lowering it to half-staff in remembrance of those who were lost. We were also honored to receive a memorial plaque from retired NYPD Police Commander Bill Murphy, who lost 37 colleagues on September 11.

Ten years later, the meaning behind that morning remains just as important. Today, we remember. We honor. We will never forget.

Didn't expect to find our summer intern when I spoke to Mr. Yanelli's Economics Club at my alma mater, Saint Stephen's Episcopal School — but we're so glad we did!

Sanjay Dastidar '26 spent his summer tackling something not everyone would sign up to do in the summer between high school and college.

He worked hand-in-hand with our Culinary and Beans teams, inputting complicated recipes in our new Restaurant365 software, and linking them to our point-of-sale to strengthen operational controls and financial management.

This was deep behind-the-scenes tech work that makes a real difference, especially to "restaurant people" who are often more comfortable with knives than keyboards!

Sanjay's headed to the University of Michigan this fall, and we have zero doubt he'll be a standout there too. Wishing him all the best in his career and his journey ahead!

Last week, we joined the Men Wear Pink Sarasota Kickoff Event at The Ora in Sarasota to celebrate the start of this year’s campaign and cheer on our own Jared Weis, who is representing Oysters Rock Hospitality as a 2026 Men Wear Pink Ambassador.

Men Wear Pink brings local leaders together to raise awareness and funds in the fight against breast cancer. We’re proud to see him use his platform, his voice, and a whole lot of pink to support a cause that means so much to so many families in our community.

This October, our guests will have another way to get involved when we Drink Pink across ORH. For every featured pink drink sold, $1 will benefit the American Cancer Society/Men Wear Pink and My Breast Friends 941. We also have some fun events, in-store games, and a few other surprises in the works, so there’s plenty more pink to come.
