POLAROID EMULSION TRANSFER PRINTS — ANALOG PROCESS, DIGITALLY PRESERVED
Montana fine art that is handcrafted from real instant film, then carefully scanned to create museum-quality prints—original one-of-one pieces also available.
Every piece begins the same way:
with real instant film, water, and time.
Polaroid emulsion lifts are created by separating the delicate image layer from instant film and transferring it by hand onto fine art paper. The process is physical, unpredictable, and impossible to fully control—creases, texture, and imperfections become part of the final image.
No two originals are ever the same.
These pieces are created in Bozeman, Montana, and draw primarily from the landscapes of Hyalite Canyon and the surrounding Gallatin Range — though the process has been applied to subjects from Nepal to the Pacific Northwest.
This is not just an image.
It’s a physical process—preserved.
