I know I am a little late to this… but on Thursday, July 16th, it was Sue’s birthday! Thank you Suzy for all that you have and continue to do, and your dedication to Springbrook! On top of being a hardworking pioneer, she is also a wonderful Mom and Grandma.

If you see Sue around the pro shop, (odds are you probably will) please make sure to wish her a Happy Belated Birthday! 🎊🎉

Thank you for your understanding as we try to survive this heat like everyone else! They will pre-make some salads, wraps, etc for anyone who still wants to come in.

This is another neat one: Joe Breidenstein, a developer who was responsible for building much of the nearby Springbrook Hills neighborhood and other local areas overlooking the golf course during it’s construction, 1968.

Before the golf course, before basically everything, there was the barn.

Throughout the 1900’s the current maintenance barn was actually a horse stable. Beside the barn there once stood a farm house, owned by the Lloyd Meadows family.

Eventually, the house was taken down, and Leo Markel, the original owner of the golf course, installed a mobile home (photo below) where he lived, which is no longer there. The barn looks just about the same all these years later, still standing strong! 50 years!
