On Friday, we had the privilege of partnering with an organization serving our unhoused neighbors by providing free showers and laundry services. While clothes were washing, we had the opportunity to do what we know best. It serves as an important reminder that dignity is often found in the smallest moments like sharing a meal, remembering someone’s name, sitting together while the laundry finishes. Our hospitality isn’t reserved for customers standing at a register. It isn’t something you can purchase. It’s the simple act of making another person feel welcomed, valued, and seen.

Our community is full of visionaries who can already see what this place is becoming. We believe the world gets better when we inconvenience ourselves a little. Staying a few extra minutes to stay connected and talk about life, when we make our syrups from scratch instead of taking shortcuts. Having opportunities to organize events, show up for our neighbors, and invest in the communities we love. None of it is the “fastest” option. But year by year, it’s changing our world.
